Sports Interaction, aka SIA, is one of my favourite sportsbooks. They only accept Canadian residents and are licensed by iGaming Ontario to operate in Ontario, while also serving the rest of Canada. The sportsbook is built to cater to the needs of Canadian bettors. In talking with my Sports Interaction rep I can say with certainty that Sports Interaction is committed to building their Canadian presence and plan to offer a great product to Canadian bettors for a long time.
Offers
Visit SportsInteraction.com to see their current offer for new players. **I’m not allowed to display the bonus offer to residents of Ontario.**
Sports Interaction offers new sign ups a bonus equal to 125% of your first deposit, up to a maximum of $250. This bonus is exclusively offered to Canadian residents.
You must opt-in to the 125% up to $250 bonus when making your first deposit. The bonus funds will be added to your account and available for use. You must bet through the bonus + deposit amount six times at odds of 1.50 or above. The rollover requirements must be met within 60 days or the bonus will be forfeit.
Licensing, Regulation, Ownership and Legality
Sports Interaction is licensed by iGaming Ontario to operate in the regulated Ontario sports betting market.
The Sports Interaction brand is operated by Mohawk Online, which is a socio-economic initiative wholly owned by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, located just outside of Montreal.
Mohawk Online invests its profits directly back into the local Kahnawake community, building a better future for the Mohawks of Kahnawake.
Sports Interaction is fully licensed and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the Jersey Gambling Commission.
In the simplest of terms, because Sports Interaction is regulated in Canada and Jersey and the profits are going directly back into the local Kahnawake community, Sports Interaction is without a doubt the best sportsbook for Canadian residents in regard to the legality of online sports betting in Canada at this time.
Canadian Sports Coverage
Sports Interactions coverage of popular Canadian betting sports is very solid. Hockey is completely covered with NHL games each having a wide range of betting markets, and several Same-Game-Parlay options throughout the regular season. This number of betting markets available jumps even higher in the playoffs because there are even more props offered. Continuing with the hockey theme that is Canada, Sports Interaction also takes bets on all AHL games throughout the season.
The main sports that Sports Interaction focuses on are hockey, football, basketball, baseball, MMA, tennis and soccer. These are the sports that are in the Top Sports section of the sportsbook. That said they also offering betting markets for every other sport a Canadian would want to bet on including boxing, golf, curling and even entertainment.
I do a lot of NHL betting throughout the season and have found that Sports Interaction’s odds will often differ from other sportsbooks. This is a great thing because it means that Sports Interaction will often have the best odds for one of the teams in the game. From my experience the big underdogs odds are often longer at SIA than other betting sites.
Live Betting
Sports Interaction has a very solid live betting feature with all live betting offered for all high profile events.
Here is an example of the live betting at Sports Interaction with a screenshot:
I’m using a tennis match as the example because I took the screenshot in the morning (before any NHL or NBA games were taking place).
Mobile Betting
Sports Interaction has a great mobile betting site that is very easy to use. I suggest saving the SportsInteraction.com URL as a shortcut on your mobile device in order to quickly be able to place bets. This is key, especially if you are going to be using your mobile device to place live bets.
Here are a couple screenshots of what the Sports Interaction mobile site looks like:
Deposit Options
Credit card deposits are the most popular deposit method at Sports Interaction, but I should note that some of the major Canadian banks will block gambling transactions.
Interac e-Transfer is my favourite banking method for depositing and cashing out winnings from Sports Interaction. It’s as easy as emailing money to a friend and there are no issues with banks blocking the e-transfers.
Here are some other deposit methods available at Sports Interaction….
- Deposits Directly from Your Bank Account: Interac E-Transfer or Online Banking.
- Deposit Methods Using a Prepaid Voucher: MasterCard Gift Cards or paysafecard.
Customer Service
The fact Sports Interaction is focused on the Canadian market translates into great customer support for Canadians. Unlike the other two top Canadian betting sites I promote Sports Interaction spends far less money on advertising. Instead they rely on word of mouth to bring in new players. In order for this mode of advertising to work the current players need to be satisfied with their sports betting experience. This is one of the main reasons I think that Sports Interactions customer support is one of the best in the industry.
Sports Interaction offers 24 hour live chat, quick email responses, and an extensive FAQ section.
