The Raptors definitely made their first round series with the Milwaukee Bucks interesting. After splitting with the Bucks in the first two games at home, the Raptors played their worst game of the season in game 3 losing by 27 points. It was a much needed wake up call and the Raps were able to bounce back and win the next 3 games to win the series. That turnaround has to have helped the Raps confidence, which they will need at an all-time high to beat the Lebron James lead Cleveland Cavaliers.
This is a very interesting series and the Cavs aren’t as big of favourites as I expected them to be. The Raps have a legitimate shot to beat this Cavaliers team, but they will need to be at their best. Below I’ve listed the odds for the series and given my personal prediction.

My Pick
The Cavs were able to sweep the Pacers in round one, but it wasn’t exactly clinical. The Cavs never won a game by more than 6 points and played some poor basketball at points in the series. The Cavs ended the season losing four straight games, and also ended the season going 11-14 through their last 25 games, so it’s not like this team was clicking near the end of year. That said, the Cavs still have the best player in basketball in Lebron James and he is able to turn up his performance when it’s needed.
The fact that the Cavs were able to come back from a 25 point first half deficit in game 3 against the Pacers shows me that they do have that next level that they can get to when they need it. Lebron stepped up and scored 41 points in that game, while adding 13 rebounds and 12 assists. He is able to take over games when necessary and that doesn’t bode well for the Raps in this series.
Toronto should be able to take a couple games off of the Cavs, but I don’t see them pulling off the upset simply because I don’t think Lebron will allow it. I expect his streak of finals appearances will stay intact this season and the Cavs will have another opportunity to pull off an upset in the finals.

I am also interested in taking the Cavaliers in 6 games. I could see the Raptors winning their initial two home games to tie the series at 2-2 before the Cavs take over and win games 5 and 6.
Play: Cavaliers 4-2 (4.75)
