I went 2-0 with my NFL picks last week. The Saints easily covered their -5.5 point spread in Tampa Bay, while the Jets lit up the Redskins in Washington after entering the game as slight underdogs.
I’m now 12-8 with my NFL spread betting picks this season. I will be using SportsInteraction.com for all of the spreads and picks below. You can see our full SIA review here. I’m going with just 2 picks again in week 12.
Dallas Cowboys @ New England Patriots
- Dallas +6
- New England -6
The Patriots offense has struggle of late, but I think a home game against this Cowboys team that gave up 27 points to a Matt Stafford-less Lions team this past week, is a good spot for Brady and company to get back on track. The Cowboys haven’t been great against the run this year, so I also expect Sony Michel and James White to have strong games and help the Pats find the end zone.
On the other side of the ball, the Pats have the best pass defense in the league. The Cowboys offense relies a great deal on Elliott having a big game, so I expect the Pats to game plan to stop the run and force Dak to try to beat them, which I don’t think will happen. I like the Pats to keep the Cowboys to 15 points or under, which should allow the Patriots to cover the 6 point spread.
Play: Patriots -6
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
- Pittsburgh -7
- Cincinnati +7
The Bengals are now 0-9 on the season, but I still don’t think they are that awful. They lost by a touchdown to the Raiders in Oakland last week, and even though they don’t have the threats on the offensive side of the ball at the moment, they showed me that they are going to battle to get into that win column before the season ends.
This week, the Bengals host their division rival Steelers, and these games are always tightly contested battles. The Steelers will be missing Maurkice Pouncey who was suspended for his participation in last weeks scuffle vs the Browns, and that hole could be one that the Bengals defense can exploit. Add in the fact that Mason Rudolph is not a good QB, and this is the second time this Bengals defense has seen him this season and I don’t expect the Steelers offense to put up big numbers in this game.
Ryan Finley isn’t any better of a QB, but this will only be his third game and he should be able to improve. That said, Joe Mixon will need to have a big game in order for the Bengals to get many points on the board.
Overall, this should be a defensive battle and I actually think it could go either way. Take the Bengals plus the points to show up in front of their home fans in this rivalry game.
