I wasn’t able to get my picks up last week, but in week 8 I went 0-2, narrowly missing covering the spread with both the Texans and Steelers.
I’m currently 9-7 with my NFL spread picks throughout the season.
I will be using SportsInteraction.com for all of the spreads and picks below. You can see our full SIA review here. I’m going with just 2 picks again in week 8.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
- Baltimore -10
- Cincinnati +10
The Ravens were able to beat the undefeated New England Patriots in Sunday Night Football this week, and in doing so they have now won four straight, including two recent impressive wins over the Pats and Seahawks. The Ravens are a solid team, but I still think they are being overrated in this spot. Let’s not forget that Baltimore beat the Bengals by just 6 points in week 3 in Baltimore.
This is a divisional rivalry game and the Bengals are at home coming off a bye week, which should have them very well prepared for this Ravens team. The Bengals are not nearly as bad as their 0-8 record indicates and with A.J. Green coming back and Ryan Finley will get a chance at QB to see if he can get this offense rolling.
I like the Bengals here to keep this game close and I think they are a sneaky moneyline play as well at close to 4-1 odds.
Play: Bengals +10
Carolina Panthers @ Green Bay Packers
- Carolina +4.5
- Green Bay -4.5
The Packers offense was completely shut down for the majority of the game this past week against the Chargers. Rodgers got going a little bit in the fourth, but it was too little too late. I do not expect this Packers offense that just got Davante Adams back from injury to struggle this badly two games in a row, even though they are up against another very solid defense in the Panthers.
I like the Packers to put up 30+ in this game at home vs the Panthers, so if the Green Bay defense can slow down Christian McCaffrey even a little bit, I think they will be able to get this win and cover the spread.
Play: Packers -4.5
