I was away at a hockey tournament over the weekend and then didn’t see any extra value on top of the picks I sent out to members last night, which is why it’s been a few days since I’ve got my NHL picks up here at Sports Betting Canadian. Tonight though, there is a plethora of games to choose from and I have a couple picks that I really like.
NHL Free Picks Record: 80-99-1 for -4.12 units.
Buffalo Sabres @ Tampa Bay Lightning
This is a strange pick, but I think there has to be some value here. I like the Sabres with the alternate puck line, which means they have to win the game in Tampa by 2 goals. They’ve actually won 2 of their last 3 games by 2 or more (Columbus and Vancouver) and although they are outplayed every night they do sometimes manage to find the back of the net in bunches. Add the odds given I have to take a shot with the Sabres tonight. Chad Johnson is in goal and he will be looking to show he has what it takes to be a #1 goaltender in this league after being a journeyman for his career. He will have plenty of opportunities for the remainder of the season with the Sabres and it all starts tonight.

Anaheim Ducks @ Arizona Coyotes
The Coyotes have lost 9 straight and I expect the Ducks to make that an even 10 tonight in Glendale. The Coyotes are having a lot of trouble scoring goals on this losing streak with just 13 goals in the 9 games so far. I like the Ducks to win this game by at least 2 even though they aren’t known for winning by big margins this season.
