Free NHL Picks March 24th

Wow, I guess it’s been a week since I posted any free NHL picks here at the site. I’ve still been sending out daily picks to our NHL Betting Tips subscribers and doing very well, but I wasn’t able to find enough plays I liked each day to warrant writing a free play post. That all changes tonight with a busy Tuesday in the NHL.

Anaheim Ducks @ Columbus Blue Jackets

The Ducks are coming off an embarrassing 7-2 loss to the Rangers, which makes me think they could have a bounce back game tonight in Columbus, but based on the odds and the way the Blue Jackets have played the past few games I still think the smart money is on Columbus at home in this one. Bobrovsky is the confirmed starter and we know that this team is a very different animal with their top netminder in goal. Bobrovsky actually has a 22-17-2 record this season, which makes you wonder if the Blue Jackets would have been in the playoff race, had he stayed healthy for the entire year. I like the Blue Jackets who are on a 3 game winning streak from a West Canada swing, to return home and get a win over the Ducks.

Winnipeg Jets @ Vancouver Canucks

The Jets are absolutely tearing it up having won their last 5 games. They’re now sitting in the second wild card spot in the West, but this game against the Vancouver Canucks is still a very important game for the playoff race down the stretch. The Jets did play last night, but when you have this kind of momentum coming into a very important game I don’t think fatigue will play that big of a factor. I like the Jets as underdogs in this one.
