Free NHL Picks December 1st

After a couple quiet days in the NHL, we’re back with a full slate of games this Tuesday evening. I have three picks that I really like tonight, with two fairly big underdogs that I feel have a good shot at victory and one favourite I’m confident will get the W.

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Montreal Canadiens

The Blue Jackets are big 2.45 underdogs in Montreal tonight, but this Columbus team is much better than their record indicates. Since going 0-7 to start the season the Blue Jackets are 10-8 and continue to claw their way back into relevance in the Eastern Conference. Bobrovksy seems to have turned the corner as well and is playing up to his expcted level now. He’s won 8 of 11 games since going 2-8 to begin the season.

Mike Condon is in net for the Habs and although he’s played fairly well with Price injured, the fact remains this team is much more susceptible to losses when Price is out. At these odds I like the Jackets tonight.

Arizona Coyotes @ Nashville Predators

The Coyotes are quietly on a 3 game winning streak and grab third place in the Pacific division with a 13-9-1 record. The Preds have a 1-4-1 record over their last 6 games and have really struggled to put the puck in the net with only 6 goals over this span. The Coyotes are massive underdogs and I think this is a great spot to take them while they are peaking and the Predators are slumping significantly.

Dallas Stars @ Calgary Flames

The Stars just keep putting up W’s and now sit with a ridiculous 10-2-0 record on the road this season. Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin and company don’t look like they will be slowing down anytime soon and a game against the Flames may be just what they need to continue to pad their stats. The Flames have given up 87 goals in 24 games this year, which is by far the most by any team (Jets have allowed 80). I just can’t see the Flames shutting down the Stars offense tonight, so look for the Stars to get another W.
