The Toronto FC vs Montreal Impact second leg was some of the most thrilling, back and forth soccer that I’ve ever seen. It was definitely the most important club soccer game played in Canada of all-time and the action mirrored the importance. In the end I think the best team won with Toronto FC staying resilient and continuing to mount comebacks before putting the game out of reach with two goals early into extra time.
The 7-5 aggregate win earned Toronto FC the right to host the Seattle Sounders in the one game, winner take all, MLS Cup Finals this coming Saturday. Seattle was able to qualify with a couple 1 goal wins over the Colorado Rapids in the Western Conference Finals, and like Toronto FC, Seattle has won forced to win a play-in game before winning the following two rounds on aggregate fairly convincingly.

My Pick
The home field advantage will be huge in this game. The atmosphere at BMO Field will be absolutely crazy and the players will feed off this energy. As long as the defensive line of TFC is able to maintain small gaps, while not giving up some quick counter attacks like they were susceptible to against the Montreal Impact then I think talent will take over, which plays into the hands of Toronto.
Jozy Altidore has had an absolutely ridiculous post season with a goal in each of the 5 playoff games Toronto FC has been apart of these playoffs. When Altidore is at his best he is nearly impossible to deal with for opposing defenders. If he and Seba play to their abilities I don’t see how Seattle will keep a clean sheet in this game.
When you give the more talented team home field advantage in the biggest game of the year you have to expect that talent to take over and push Toronto FC to finally become MLS champions.
I will be taking them to win the game in regulation, with Jozy Altidore as the most valuable man of the match, scoring at least one goal and also setting up another. I foresee a 2-1 final with the MLS Cup coming north of the border.
