I didn’t get any free picks up here last night, but a couple nights ago I once again had a very successful night hitting both of my free plays, which brings my free play winning streak now to 7 picks in a row. That included a 3.10 Panthers underdog pick last night, so it’s not like I’m just picking favourites. There’s still a ways to go though to put that horrible December/January run behind me.
NHL Free Picks Record: 68-88 for -7.62 units.
LA Kings @ Florida Panthers
The Kings just can’t get it together. They’re now sitting in 12th spot in the Western Conference and look to be in serious danger of missing the playoffs after their Stanley Cup season last year. They’ve only won 2 of their last 11 games and are coming off a 4-0 beating at the hands of the Capitals on Tuesday. The Panthers are a team that could take advantage of the Kings sub par performances with a win tonight. The Panthers definitely have the ability to beat the Kings at home and as a home underdog this is a great play.

Anaheim Ducks @ Nashville Predators
Pekka Rinne is back between the pipes tonight for the Preds. Even without him they were able to continue to play well, but Rinne is a huge step up from Carter Hutton in goal. The Ducks are in town, which is a very difficult game, but the Preds are 20-2-1 at home this season and I don’t see them letting this slip. The real question lies in whether Rinne will be back to his A-game after this injury, but I for one am not going to be betting against the big man.
