I’ve taken a few days off from NHL betting, but I’m back today even though it’s a very quiet Wednesday in the NHL. The Maple Leafs vs Red Wings game is an interesting one though, with both teams playing well and the game serving as a bit of a rivalry of late. That said, I’m steering clear of that game, but I’ll be placing a bet on the Oilers vs Ducks game.

Edmonton Oilers @ Anaheim Ducks
The Oilers are on the road to play the Ducks tonight. The Oilers have only won 2 out of 13 road games this season. That sounds like a horrible stat, but to be fair they’ve only won 7 of their 28 total games this season as well. They also only have 1 W in their last 13 games. Basically the Oilers are horrible this season and they’ve been even worse of late.
The Ducks on the other hand sit at the top of the standings and are currently riding a 4 game winning streak. Yes, they will miss Corey Perry, but they were still getting wins while he was out with an illness earlier this season. The Ducks just play the right way and they are actually very deep up front.
I’m surprised they aren’t bigger favourites in this one even though they are massive favourites to begin with.
